Privacy Policy
The short version. Audia keeps your PDFs, podcasts, flashcards, quizzes and progress on your iPhone. There is no account to make, no ads and no tracking. To write scripts, voices, flashcards, quizzes and study sheets, Audia sends text from your documents to Google’s Gemini AI service. It does this only after you say yes, and only when you use a feature that needs it. The podcast voices are AI voices. Audia is made by Gigaton Studios, a brand of Gigaton LLC, a Florida company (“we”, “us”).
1. What stays on your phone
Your PDFs and the text pulled from them, generated scripts and audio, flashcards, quizzes, study history and settings are saved in the app on your phone. We do not receive them. Deleting a document in the app removes it, its podcasts and its study history from your phone. Deleting the app removes everything it saved.
2. What leaves your phone, and why
When you use a feature that makes scripts, voices, flashcards, quizzes, study sheets, comparison tables or document summaries, the app sends the relevant text from your document, and the instructions built from it, to Google’s Gemini service. It also does this in the background when you import a document or make a podcast. The text may contain anything that is in your document, including other people’s personal information, so only import documents you are comfortable sending to Google.
- Through our studio service (the default). The text goes first to a small service we run on Cloudflare, which passes it to Google using our account. The service is built to pass the text along and not to store it. Cloudflare may keep standard technical logs for the service; we do not use them to read your documents. It also checks a random ID the app makes for your device, so it can count your studio minutes (10 free minutes once per device, then packs you can buy).
- With your own Gemini key. If you paste your own key, the text goes straight to Google and uses your own Google account. It does not go through us.
- On-device only. Turning on “Process on device only” makes podcasts with Apple’s on-device model and voice, with no network. Other studio features, such as flashcards and quizzes, still use Google.
Google handles the text under its own terms for the key used.
3. Your permission
Before the app sends any document text to Google for the first time, it shows a screen explaining this and asks for your permission. If you say no, you can still import and read documents and listen with Apple’s on-device voice. You can change your mind in Settings at any time.
4. Who receives information
- Google (Gemini), for the text you choose to process.
- Cloudflare, which hosts our studio service and may keep technical logs.
- Apple, for the App Store, TestFlight, and any purchase you make (we do not see your payment details).
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across other apps or sites.
5. How long we keep it
We do not keep your document text. The studio service is built to pass your text along and not to store it. Technical logs, if any, are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the service. Google keeps text according to its own terms.
6. Your choices and rights
You can delete documents or the app yourself, say no to sending text to Google, or use your own key. If you want to ask about information we may hold, such as a studio-service log, write to [email protected]. Where the law gives you rights (for example in the EU, the UK and California), we will honour them.
7. About the AI
Scripts, voices, flashcards, quizzes and summaries are made by AI and can be wrong. The podcast hosts are AI voices, not real people. Check anything important against your own documents.
8. Minimum age
Audia is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, write to [email protected].
9. Other countries
Google and Cloudflare may process text in the United States and other countries.
10. Changes
When we change this page we change the date at the top. If a change affects what leaves your phone, the app will ask you again before it takes effect.
